How Time Flys!
It's amazing how much has happened in the 4 years that she's been here. We've bought a new house, traveled on vacation, gotten new animals (yes besides the kid :-O). We've done some home projects, been to weddings, funerals, parties, and more.
Life is short, enjoy what you have, or change if you don't like it. Time has wings and won't stand still just for you.

Disappointment?
Well there's always next time, and for what it's worth, I had a great time! I guess all in all I'm not disappointed. Heck anytime you can hang out with friends, have a few drinks, and tell a few jokes is a good time.

1/2 way there
I have to admit, having the World Series Poker tour on all the time really helped me get up to speed on Texas Hold'em. Then again it helped everyone else too so am I really ahead? Well I'm going to but that question to the test on Friday. Hope my friends don't mind a little spanking at cards.... :-P
BTW, I had to turn on the word verification for comments, hope it's not too intrusive to any responses, but not sure what some of the comments are that I have received so far. Have a good day, and for heavens sake, get back to work! :-D

So last night my 4 year daughter had a family project. Create a poster of your holiday traditions. Now I try not to be one of those parents who do all the work for their child and then have them sign their name; but when your own creativity is failing and your 4 yr olds idea is to just cut every piece of paper into small pieces you have to wonder where are your patience.
All in all, my wife and I bit our tonuge and in the end we had created a poster. It was fun to look back over her first 4 years and see the holiday's we had together. Hours of the night had drifted away, and a school project had given us all some quality time together. I guess in the end patience pays off.

Monday Again
Things to do:
- Final Mowing
- Rake the yard
- Trim last of the trees
- prune back the landscaping
- put away the deck furniture
Always something to do. Lately though fantasy books have been consuming me. Yeah I'm tearing through Harry Potter books like they are going out of style. Got to get back to my 3d game studies... shouldn't be long since I'm on my final Harry Potter book and there is no prospect of a new book anytime soon.
I'm looking forward to the new movie coming out, the book was really exciting. I have to agree the book is always better, but I enjoy the movie as well.
Well back to Monday..... let's see what else is on the list to do.

Online gaming is the greatest, it has really transformed the gaming world. When we all get online together and are connected on our phones (thanks sprint), and we get into what we are playing, then the magic begins. Game night keeps us all together, when we are so into what we are playing, you don't even realize your friends aren't in the same room.
Ever since Unreal Tournament, I've been an addict. If anyone reads this feel free to let me know what games you are into and why. Until the next time... Keep on Gaming!

Who Am I
Well I ask myself this question a lot, along with a couple of others.
Who am I?
What am I doing here?
Who do I want to be?
I wish I could consistently answer myself, and then maybe I'd have some direction. Today my decisions of yesterday drive tomorrow. Now knowing that, I have to figure out what decisions to make.
Today my answers are:
A husband, a father, a friend.
Learning to Blog, Learning to Code, Wondering about my career. ....is it too late?
My own leader, my own boss, someone who contributes to this world at least what I take.
Simply put, I'm:
Eric Mahaffey, Husband to Laura, Father to Taylor.
This is my first post to the blogging world! I guess we'll see what happens next.
